2011 has been a pretty tame year for War Loli.

LWN has been quiet since the Staten Island show and New York Rehearsals of Nov '10.
Battle Lolis did a few mp3 releases and 2 cassettes including the first Battle Lolis full length.
Evil Lolikon and myself have both been working on several RPG game systems.

Of course other things have been going on, but none of our other projects/bands have been very active lately.

On the other hand, 2012 is looking to be extremely productive. LWN will be recording and there are many splits and albums in the works for our other projects and of course there will be plenty going on besides music. You'll just have to keep an eye out.

And now, on the two year anniversary of my worst New Years I present a new Loliqueen track.

XXV. Heroines Of War II Survival & Honour Is Out!

The first full length Battle Lolis album has been released. The cassettes were shipped on Wednesday, 11/30/11. I spent roughly an hour in the post office signing the papers for international packages since tapes are being shipped to Egypt, Finland, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Sweden, Argentina and across the United States.

Evil Lolikon has a few new postings on his blog and has been working on the Loli Reich RPG and various music.

In other news we're planning to do some Loli War Noise recording in March 2012 and more Battle Lolis cassettes are in store for the future.

I have been incredibly busy the past few weeks with work, friends & family, and (of course) music. The artwork for Heroines Of War II has arrived, and in fact all of the packages are ready to go and will be sent out next week.

Otherwise I have been busy working on more new Battle Lolis tracks for another full length album that will see its release some time in early-mid 2012. There's a lot of other things going on with Battle Lolis that I'm keeping on the down low for now.

The newest videos to grace the War Loli Youtube channel are tracks from Retaliation's 2006 Demo. It's a great release. Give the first track a listen below.

XIII. It had to happen, Frag Movies

I have fought against my will, on several occasions, to avoid entering something like this, but I can no longer resist the urges. Roughly two years ago a friend introduced me to a game in which I had no intetnion of playing otherwise, Call of Duty 4. At the time I began playing COD 5 and MW 2 was already out and the majority of gamers were losing interest in the original Modern Warfare. I began on Xbox and enjoyed tryharding and griefing players, but my views on COD 4 completely changed when I stumbled upon COD PC gaming and most importantly promod.

For those who've never heard of this, promod is a competative mod for Call of Duty which strips the game down and gears it towards performance. It is extremely different compared to regular matches, I'll try and sum it up quickly.

Search and destroy, played competatively in 5 v 5 matches, each team is allowed 1 bolt action sniper (automatic snipers are not an option), 2 SMG players (can only use AKU, Uzi, and MP5), 2 Assault Rifle players, and 1 shotgun can be substituted for any of these positions. There are no perks, killstreaks or weapon attatchments. Players run faster. There is no music or dramatic sounds during events such as bomb plants, final minute, etc. There are no mounted machine guns on the maps and only a few of the multiplayer maps are played on. There are also no stun grenades.

All in all it's an amazing mod. Now that I've got all that trash out of the way, it's time to get right down to what I'm addressing with this post - frag movies. Frag movies are the competative PC gaming equivalent of "montages" for Xbox kids. Frag movies differ from standard video game movies in that the kills are (at least supposed to be) carried out in competition (LAN events, scrimmages, etc.). The COD 4 scene has been blessed with several highly skilled editors and many amazing professional players.

I present you, some of the best (IMO) COD 4 frag movies to date.

Carrera Rapida – Mazarini

Carrera Rapida is a fast-paced, lengthy frag movie which rolls through at a little over 9 minutes. The editing is heavy, but the synch is pretty spot-on and the frags are still very watchable. Breakbeat music from DJ Pablo is a nice change from the synth-heavy styles of most frag movies. The clips themselves are just excellent. The intro isn’t too intriguing, but once the kills get going I find myself hypnotized by the ridiculous no scopes and quick AK +15s and 20s.

D1ablo 2k10 – Tom Newman

One of the best rushers in the COD 4 community, Diablo’s awesome movement is captured in this raw edit. There are also plenty of no scopes and AK kills to satisfy any player, but the highlights of this movie are the sick Deagle one-shots. There’s really not much editing, but in my opinion it works in Diablo’s favor as the viewer is able to see some great frags the way they were meant to be seen.

Got Codehooked - Atze

Sweet, sweet controversy - it’s amazing what a little drama can do. Name aside, this is one insane frag movie that’ll leave any noob calling hax. Got Codehooked rocks huge frags with some very chill music and pretty laid back editing. Overall, it is a highly enjoyable video.

I’m Hun – Vertigo

I’m Hun was one of the earlier frag movies I found and it combines some pretty fast gameplay, good music (although Blue Stahli and Celldweller are overused), and some pretty cute skins (or at least I think they’re nice, opinions seem split).

Jailbait – Katha

Regarded as the most skillfully edited frag movie to date, Jailbait is a goddamn monster. Right from the get go you can tell Katha worked diligently. The 3d work is splendid and the colors are very nice. To be honest some of the frags are a little lacking compared to other big movies, but the editing is simply the best. The outro is excellent. Fuck IW.

Lax – Rna

One of my most favorite COD films, Lax takes a way different approach than most frag movies with a super happy and colorful atmosphere. The bright colors and great music make it a joy to watch, although the frags aren’t quite top-notch (what can I say I have high expectations.

Mixed Episode 2 – Mauser

Mauser takes things to a much deeper level with Mixed 2, a dark and intense frag film. The clips here are sick and stand out even with the dark colors.

Overused – qLimAxzU

Although most people wouldn’t call qLimAxzU the best player in COD 4, he is certainly one of the most goddamn exciting players to watch when he’s on. Overused has some of the sickest frags to date, many of them taking place in big LAN events. The music is hit and miss, and the editing is the bare minimum, but (just like D1ablo’s 2k10) this is an advantage for the viewer.

Play With Soul – Mazarini

One of the best frag videos to come out within the last year, Play With Soul is a 14 minute beast of a movie built around months of hype. The frags provided by Mazarini and the beastly scope of Paradox are very high quality and high quantity. The opening sequence is one of the more memorable you’ll see with great shoutcasting. The music choices are all very fitting for their sections, although I’m not exactly head over heels with all of the choices Mazarini used.

Puremind – or1on

The slowest movie on this list, Puremind is a nice change of pace from other frag videos. It combines a nice, slow song and some super chill and beautiful-to-behold editing. The colors are very relaxing and good on the eyes and the frags are pretty damn fun to watch too although they aren’t quite top-tier trophy-winners. This is a good movie to wind down your day with.

She Looked 16 – Katha

Before Katha unleashed the masterpiece that is Jailbait, I don’t think anybody figured he would be able to top She Looked 16. This frag movie starts off with one of the best introductions you’ll ever see. The colors and transitions used by Katha are perfect. The music is pretty standard and the frags again aren’t the best in the world (come on Katha, your editing deserves the best clips around!), but if you enjoy frag movies you will enjoy this one.

Undesirable Elements – Loshadko

Undesirable should be replaced by underappreciated in the case of this film. This movie contains some of the best synching I’ve seen in a frag movie with great transitions between scenes and songs, and did I mention those beautiful fucking colors? My God I love them far more than I should. It’s quite an interesting look, but the skins are quite unique and quite definitely awesome. The songs themselves are all pretty enjoyable and the editing is very solid. A highly enjoyable frag movie that deserves more views.

And there you have it - twelve of my most favorite promod frag movies so far. There are plenty more amazing videos that you can find on youtube or on a slew of gaming communities. I didn't list a number of movies that definitely deserve mention, but perhaps I'll get to that another time. Maybe.

In more relevant news to War Loli things have been slow lately. My HP died 2 days after I received it, and I immediately returned it for a refund and ordered an Asus with 12 Gigs of Ram, and i7 Intelcore processor, and Nvidia 560M. Goreshit's been busy and I'll have a few new releases of my own to list off in the near future (I hope).

XI. Computer failure

Unfortunately Windows has once more bit the dust for my Dell Laptop. Being the fourth time in the 2 years I have owned it, I am retiring it in favor of a better rig. I'll be getting something nice in the coming weeks, until then do not expect much activity.

Wounder released a first full-length album today. I'd host it on the War Loli youtube, but that's not possible right now. I can already see how fun the catch-up work will be once I get a new computer...

The Battle Lolis tapes will not be shipping today, unfortunately. The reason is the post office did not have enough of the packaging I am using to send the tapes in. With my conflicting work schedule and office hours it may not be until next Saturday that the tapes go out.

On the plus side, the tapes will be coming in extremely high quality shipping - cardboard cartons and bubble wrapped for extra protection. Sorry about the delay.

On 7/9/11 Battle Lolis will see its second physical release in the form of a compilation cassette entitled "Heroines of War." The tapes were dubbed from 06/28 to 07/02. This first wave of cassettes was a private release intended for friends and a few Battle Lolis listeners around the world (United States, Germany, Poland, Canada, Sweden, Argentina, Egypt, Japan).

A huge thanks goes out to Evil Lolikon for helping me so much with the artwork layout, Matthew and Lea Ann at OfficeMax for making sure everything was going to print fine, and Delta Media for their fast shipping.

If you are interested in getting a copy of Heroines of War contact me with a shipping address, an e-mail which I can reach you at, and note that you want a cassette. The initial distribution list for a Battle Lolis compilation cassette is nearly complete and I'm currently waiting for my order from deltamedia to arrive. Once I receive the tapes and cases I'll begin dubbing copies and printing the inserts in my free time. This will be the second physical Battle Lolis release (the first being the 1 copy CD-R entitled Jewish Lolita Gas Chamber Sex Slave).

IV. Jihad Loli and a Low-Fi future

When I started making music I never would have imagined that I would put out over fifty (albeit small) releases in less than two years. Battle Lolis has pumped out (consistently might I add) nearly half of those and the sound has changed along with my mindset, at times wandering away from black metal-driven melodies in favor of more typical rock and heavy metal styled "rifffs." However, with so many releases in such a short amount of time it is time for a little break to refill the idea tank.

For those up to date with the Loli War Noise blog you know that Evil Lolikon and myself are going to be moving into an apartment together so that we can work on music, games, books, artwork, play live shows, and basically have a lot of fun. The apartment is already ours and I have begun the moving process while Evil Lolikon has had a few delays. He will be moving in the coming weeks.

We had a rather nostalgic conversation last night and decided that we would settle without internet for an indefinite amount of time. This will allow us to work at a better pace without feeling the need to do rushed releases. From now on we aim to put out only our very best music and to release it in physical form (mostly tape and vinyl). If the music is uploaded and downloaded from the internet that's fine with us, but we're going to work really hard on making quality stuff and playing memorable shows (perhaps more than six minute long ones if you're lucky).

Two new, little releases have graced the War Loli youtube page recently (listed below). If you haven't already, make sure to go and subscribe to the channel for future updates. We are currently expecting new releases from Wounder and goreshit in the coming weeks. A four way split between Youkai, Eulalia, The NAMBLA Youth, and Angsty Teenagerz is awaiting artwork, but is otherwise set for release.

"War Loli is a tight-knit group of musicians and other artists working to leave a massive amount of works in their wake and spread a message of unabashed, honorable loli love and appreciation."

The War Loli youtube page exists to host music and other art created by a small circle of friends with similar mindsets and interests, most notably military actions and loli-styled characters (though other subjects are welcome to be explored by the artists as they please). With such niche subject matter and artists freely gathering inspiration from all genres of music it is more or less destined that the circle shall remain small.
